Did Microsoft Tease Clipchamp's Integration with Xbox?

Sloppiness or just teasing?
Microsoft recently released a video about how their (relatively) newly acquired Clipchamp team stays productive using Microsoft Loop. This is all in advance of the Loop service becoming available to Microsoft 365 subscribers.
Being the Microsoft 365 enthusiast that I am (along with being very excited about how Loop can change collaboration), I was excited to see the new product in action. But something caught my eye around the 58 second mark. One of the team members is sharing their screen and if you pay close attention, the first open tab in their browser is titled Clipchamp + Xbox.
I don’t remember seeing any formal announcement from Microsoft about Clipchamp integrating with Xbox, but it sure does make sense. A quick Google search points me to articles from Windows Central and NME alluding to the potential integration, but nothing seems official as of yet.
Recording and Editing Gameplay Footage
As a casual Xbox player, I often record and share video clips through the Xbox app. But what if Xbox could take things one step further by integrating with Microsoft’s Clipchamp video editing service?
Imagine, for a moment, that Xbox Game Pass subscribers could not only record their in-game video clips, but also have the ability to edit those clips using Clipchamp. This would provide a seamless experience for gamers, allowing them to capture their best moments in-game, and then quickly and easily edit those clips into shareable videos.
One of the biggest benefits of integrating Clipchamp with Xbox would be the convenience factor. It’s my understanding that -currently - Xbox Game DVR users need to transfer their video clips to a separate device or software in order to edit them. This process can be time-consuming and frustrating, especially for gamers who just want to quickly edit and share their clips. With Clipchamp, everything would be streamlined and accessible through a web browser (or ideally, built into the native mobile apps), making it much more convenient for users.
Another benefit of integrating Clipchamp with Xbox would be the potential for increased creativity and customization. Clipchamp offers a wide range of editing tools and features, including the ability to add text overlays, apply filters and effects, and more. This would allow gamers to truly personalize their gameplay clips and make them stand out on social media.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but this is the closest thing we’ve gotten to a confirmation of this integration yet. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.
